NaNoWriMo snuck up on me. Seriously! It's like I didn't see it coming. One minute it was August, and then -- BAMB! -- it's November 1st. I have a vague recollection of a few things happening in between, including my 34th birthday. Ach! Okay, I'm being overly dramatic. It happens. You know it does. :-)
So, I'm knee deep in being behind on my word count already. My fingers are crossed I can catch up, get a little bit ahead, and keep it up for the next 29 days!
Oh...what am I working on? For those interested, I'm working on 'Betrayed,' the second book in my Descended series. I'm excited to finally be writing this book. I feel like I've been talking about it forever. Now is the time to get it done!

I can't believe it's been nearly a year since I updated this site. Bad girl! Well, it's received a facelift and a snazzy new tagline.
Descended is in its first, and most likely last, round of being read by Beta Readers. With any luck it'll be going out to agents and publishers before the end of September. Yea!
I hope you're all having a fantastic summer. And, I promise, I'll update things again before another year has passed!

I'm nearing the end of my most recent revision of Descended and I'm so happy with the way it's progressing! Lots of progress has also been made on Manipulated, the second title in the Descended Collection. I'm not totally sold on the title yet but I'm going to worry about the writing for now. :-) It's time I get back to work but I'm glad I finally had a chance to update the site. Hope you like the changes! I love the new graphics! :-)

Well...that whole Beta Readers page didn't go as I had hoped. No worries. I'll figure something out. :-) I've got exciting news though. I've started a new year-long writing class and I can't wait for you all to see what I've been working on. I'll try to post excerpts when I can.

So much is going on these days...I don't know where to start. I'm busy working on Descended and have been making lots of progress! For those of you who I've asked to help out there are a few scenes up on the the Beta Reader page. My class at Savvy Authors is going well but I'm most excited about the May Bootcamp. I'm sure the Mystic Bohemians will keep me in line and producing plenty of pages throughout the month. With any luck I'll have excerpts to post soon. :-)

I'm so excited! There have been so many of you who have offered to help me out by giving me feedback on my two finished novels that I've created a Beta Readers page. When you go to this page you can see all of the available novels/chapters that I've put up for your review. There is a catch, however...you'll need a password. So, if you're interested fill out the form on the Beta Readers page and let me know why you'd make a great Beta Reader! Happy Halloween!
Lots of people have spent this weekend celebrating Halloween, Trick-or-Treating and gorging themselves on mini candy bars. I, unfortunately, am not one of those people. I've spent my weekend calculating, worrying and debating about what to write for NaNoWriMo. Yes, that's right...I'm officially participating in National Novel Writing Month this year.
I have no idea what to expect and no idea whether I'll finish, though I am extremely hopeful, but I will be shooting for 50,000 words. With just under 4 hours until midnight I still haven't decided what story to write, though I have narrowed it down to three options. Each has its pros and cons but I think I'm leaning towards one more than the other two. Ultimately, it will probably depend on what I like most at the stroke of midnight. Until then...well, who knows. :-)
